Cool story

My mom came home from work today and said they hired some rent-a-techs for the lab. She said that there was a black fella that hung out with her all day from Texas as she was teaching him how to work all of the instruments. I wasnt overly impressed lol.....she said, yeah he wants to meet you...I said why? and she said, he had a couple of brothers that played in the nfl. She then said, one of his brothers is Ron Morris that played wide reciever for the bears with Walter Payton. You guys know me, I was pretty excited, love the Bears, especially Walter. Anyway, she told me that he was impressed that I had been a Bear fan so long(I guess most would abandon them after all these years lol). He said Ron was really close to Walter and Ron had introduced him to Connie and Jarrett Payton before and he and JP were friends. He said JP is a really good guy and alot of his dads qualities shine in him.

He told her he had another brother that played in the league. She couldnt remember his name when she told me, it was on the tip of her tongue. She said it was something unusual like Bam. [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] I know all of you steeler fans remember Bam Morris and his drug problems. The guy actually brought that up and told my mom that it was really nothing any bigger than selling marijuana but Bam had cleaned his act up alot and was involved in some kind of work(not playing) involving the cfl or nfl europe.(mom forgot)

The guy(I think his name is Rodney) told her that he wanted to meet me and he would see if he could get Ron to send me a sweetness souvenir. I just wanted to share the story with you guys, maybe its dumb, I dunno but being a bear fan, it made my day.and I know there are alot of steeler fans on here that remember Bam Morris so I thought Id share a memory or two.

I remember Bam myself. Wasn't he just before Bettis got there, or replaced him when Bettis got injured? The name was definitely fitting for his running style.

Awesome story mega...that'd be like me meeting an acquaintance of John Taylor's and him sending me Montana memorabilia. Really cool.

I think Bam was before Barry Foster, then Bettis. (sorry all the years are mixed in my head).

good deal Mega, Tom Beasley, Chad Beasley's dad played for my beloved Steelers, the first time I went up to his house and got to see all his Steeler stuff and pics I was stoked. very cool stuff!
